Employee?s fingers are burned while cleaning roller in molte
Investigation abstract
At 7:50 a.m. on July 22, 2021, Employee #1, an operator at a medical device manufacturing facility, was preparing a Servo Driven 30' LCM Cascade with Cooling Tank (Serial Number 10960) for production in Clean Room #2. While cleaning a white roller (? inch diameter, 4 inches wide, located 12-16 inches from the machine frame) without wearing gloves, the employee's hand slipped and made contact with the molten salt bath, causing burns to the fingers. The employee sustained second-degree burns to the left-hand fingers. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
