Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
At 5:00 p.m. on August 8, 2021, an employee who worked in food service for a fast food restaurant died from COVID-19. On July 31, 2021, the employee had been working her regular work shifts when she tested positive for COVID-19. The employee informed her employer of the positive test immediately and stayed off work all the way up until her death. The date, time and other details leading up to exposure are not indicated in the narrative. The employer did not have an effective COVID-19 Prevention Program in place.
