Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee had been working as a Medical Office Assistant. On August 27, 2021, the employee had been administering a COVID-19 test to a patient with signs and symptoms of COVID-19. On or about August 30, 2021, the employee developed signs and symptoms of COVID-19 after coming into contact with the COVID-19 positive patient. At 8:00 a.m. on September 7, 2021, the employee was hospitalized due to complications relating to COVID-19. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
