Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee worked as an engine mechanic for a public school system. On October 16, 2021, the employee tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized, five days after being in direct contact with a coworker who tested also positive for COVID-19. At 1:01 a.m. on October 26, 2021, the employee died from COVID-19. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
