Investigation abstract

At 11:00 a.m. on November 1, 2021, an employee working in a restaurant was mixing cheese sauce with an immersion blender. The employee lost hold of the blender and struck his right thumb with the blade. The employee amputated his thumb at the first knuckle, requiring hospitalization.
