Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
Three employees were working at a state prison. Two were correctional officers, engaged in medical care activities. The UPA related to her incident was 1799666. Her last day worked was August 10, 2021. The day before, August 9, she took a rapid and a PCR test for COVID-19. On the following day, August 10, she reported positive test results. She was hospitalized on August 17, and she died that same day. The cause of death was complications including COVID-19 infections for all the employees. and the third was a licensed practical nurse. The first correctional officer monitored detainees. The UPA related to his incident was 1834104. His last day worked was October 9, 2021. He was hospitalized on November 15, and he died at 1:00 a.m. the following day, on November 16. The second correctional officer also monitored detainees. The UPA related to his incident was 1817357. His last day worked was September 5, 2021. He tested positive for COVID-19 on that same day. He was hospitalized on September 26, and he died on September 28, 2021.
