Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
On December 2, 2021, an employee who had been working as a material and store supervisor for a correctional institution died from COVID-19. The employee last worked on October 16, 2021, started experiencing COVID-19 related symptoms on October 19, 2021, and tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized on October 26, 2021. The employee was also diagnosed with Valley Fever, which was determined to be work related.
