Event description

Employee fractures vertebrae and pelvis in fall from ladder

Investigation abstract

At 9:30 a.m. on August 19, 2021, an employee working as an installer for a solar power contractor was standing on a Gorilla MPX22 ladder handing a coworker supplies. The coworker was standing on the roof when he slipped and fell into the employee. This caused the employee to fall with the ladder approximately 15 feet to the stone ground. The employee fractured three vertebrae and sustained three fractures to his pelvis. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
