Employee falls from ladder and fractures vertebrae
Investigation abstract
At 12:45 p.m. on July 1, 2021, an employee was picking nectarines from approximately the seventh step of a ladder. While moving to fill her nearly full bag, she lost her balance and fell to the ground. The ladder also fell onto her back. She fractured her vertebrae. The employee was hospitalized for five days, required surgery and therapy, and was initially taken to Adventist Health-Selma before being transferred to CRMC.
