Event description

Three Employees with COVID-19 infection are hospitalized

Investigation abstract

On August 20, 2021, three employees working at a casino were reported worked with symptoms including body aches and fatigue. Employee #2 did not report her symptoms to her employer and reported to work the following day. The employee was still experiencing symptoms but went home early because of a planned vacation. On August 6, 2021, Employee #2 tested and received positive results on August 8, 2021. Employee #2 was hospitalized with low oxygen levels on August 12, 2021 and notified her employer the same day. On August 21, 2021, Employee #2 was discharged from hospital. Her fianc� and mother-in-law both showed COVID-19 related symptoms at approximately the same time. Employee #2 was not vaccinated at the time of her positive test result. On August 14, 2021, Employee #3 came to work and reported to a coworker (Manager) that he wasn't hospitalized with COVID-19. The employees worked as dealers at a 24-hour feeling well so he was sent home. Employee #3 received a positive COVID-19 test result on August 19, 2021. While at home symptoms increased and a family member called for an ambulance which transported Employee #3 to the hospital. Employee #3 was hospitalized with COVID-19. The employer was notified of his hospitalization on August 20, 2021, when a family member contacted them inquiring about insurance. None of the employees were identified to have close contact through the employer's COVID-19 contact tracing. cardroom equipped with a sports bar and full-service restaurant. The employer had a staff of approximately 90 employees at this facility. On August 6, 2021, Employee #1 reported experiencing symptoms. The last day Employee #1 worked was August 5, 2021. Employee #1 quarantined on August 6, 2021, was tested, and received positive results on August 9, 2021. On August 12, 2021, Employee #1 was hospitalized when his symptoms worsened, and he notified his employer the same day. Employee #1 was not vaccinated at the time. On August 5, 2021, Employee #2
