Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
An employee, a sanitation worker, worked his last regular shift on November 24, 2021, and left without any symptoms. The employee was tested for COVID-19 on November 23, 2021, and was made aware of the positive test result on November 25, 2021. The employee was hospitalized on December 2, 2021, and died at 7:15 a.m. on December 12, 2021 due to COVID-19-induced pneumonia, pneumomediastinum, acute kidney injury, and polycythemia.
