Employee amputates pinky while retracting dock plate by hand

Investigation abstract

At 12:00 p.m. on July 31, 2021, Employee #1 was attempting to retract a dock plate but could not locate the pole used for retraction. The employee used his hand to move the dock plate and sustained an amputation of the right pinky. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
