Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
On August 9, 2021, an employee who worked as a Corrections Officer in multiple areas within a Detention Facility for a County Sheriff's Office was hospitalized with COVID-19. The employee had worked in areas that includied an area used to quarantine inmates who tested positive for COVID-19. The employee reported symptoms and on August 4, 2021, tested positive for COVID-19. The employer did not have Adequate Aerosol Transmissible Diseases policies and procedures in place.
