Event description
High pressure water blaster punctures and lacerates employee
Investigation abstract
At 2:15 p.m. on February 19, 2022, Employee #1 was cleaning floor gates with 20,000 PSI water blaster. The employee turned to spray the track on the wall and the connection came loose, causing water under pressure to escape from the weep hole on the gland nut and shoot into the employee's right bicep. This resulted in the puncture and laceration of employee's right bicep. The employee was treated without hospitalization.
