Employee with COVID-19 infection dies
Investigation abstract
At 4:00 p.m. on March 26, 2022, an employee who worked as an Advancement Operations Officer at an academic medical and a Level 1 trauma center died due to complications from COVID-19. The employee tested positive for COVID-19 on March 2, 2022 and was hospitalized on March 10, 2022. Workplace exposure was presumptive due to the nature of the employment, however the employer had taken all necessary precautions to transmit the virus in the workplace.
