EMPLOYEE FRACTURES HAND WHEN CAUGHT IN MACHINE FRAME

Investigation abstract

At 3:00 a.m. on January 10, 2022, a temporary employee was working as a sorter a t a recycling facility when he noticed a piece of metal stuck on the conveyor. T he employee attempted to free the stuck piece of metal without first stopping th e conveyor. The employee's hand got caught between the piece of metal he was try ing to remove and the frame of the conveyor. The employee suffered a laceration and fracture of his right hand and was hospitalized for treatment.
