Event description
Employee is killed when crushed and trapped under overturned
Investigation abstract
At 3:49 p.m. on May 2, 2024, Employee #1 was operating an eXmark Lazer Z Employee #1 sustained fatal crush injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 5:39 p.m. E-Series zero-turn radius riding mower, Model #LZE751GKA604A1, Serial #401021760, to mow an approximately 3-acre lot. The employer's crew had been onsite for lawn maintenance, with Employee #1 mowing the back of the yard. At approximately 3:49 p.m., while approaching a drainage ravine, the mower rolled over, trapping and crushing Employee #1 beneath it. After a delay, Owner #1 noticed Employee #1 was missing and searched for her. Emergency responders were called, and at 5:18 p.m., Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company arrived on scene.
