Employee is found unresponsive during tower ladder climb
Investigation abstract
At 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2024, Employee #1 was climbing the ladder of a cell tower. The employee stopped climbing 280 feet up the ladder before reaching the work area. The employee was later found unresponsive, with no indication of injury. Emergency services responded, but the employee was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson County coroner is conducting an autopsy, which is expected to take 6-8 weeks to complete.
