Event description

Employee dies from natural causes while driving waste dispos

Investigation abstract

At 9:00 a.m. on February 12, 2025, Employee #1 was working as a truck driver for a waste collection service and was driving to different hospitals and medical facilities while a coworker was in the passenger seat. The employee drove the truck to each location while the coworker loaded the back of the vehicle with medical waste. The truck was parked with Employee #1 sitting in the driver seat while the coworker was loading the back of the truck. Employee #1 got out of the cab and requested help. The coworker heard this and went to the front of the truck where Employee #1 was located. It was determined that Employee #1 died from natural causes. This is not covered by OSHA.
