Employee's fingertip amputated by sawing machine
Investigation abstract
Employee #1 was operating a sawing machine that cut small pieces of wooden windo w molding on each end at the same time. With the saws running, the employee stuc k his hand into the blade area, attempting to check the air flow of the vacuum v entilation system that was attached to the machine. Employee #1's right index fi ngertip was amputated.
