Employee breaks hip in fall through roof
Investigation abstract
Employee #1, an SOS employee working for Paulsen Roofing, was part of a crew tha t was reroofing a 40-year-old building. He was talking to two foremen, who were about to sign him out for the day. While the one of the foremen went to get a pe n to sign out Employee #1, the other foreman and Employee #1 started to walk awa y. Instead of stepping from some plywood onto the roof support, Employee #1 step ped onto some Sheetrock. He broke through three layers of Sheetrock, falling 20 ft and fracturing his hip.
