Investigation abstract

AT ABOUT 12 NOON ON MARCH 21, 1987, EMPLOYEE #1 WAS STRINGING WELDING CABLE ON T HE ROOF OF WAREHOUSE #4, 22 1/4 FEET ABOVE AN ADJACENT CONCRETE FLOOR. THE 85 PO UNDS OF WELDING CABLE HE HAD SLUNG OVER HIS LEFT SHOULDER CAUSED HIM TO LOSE HIS BALANCE AND FALL OFF THE ROOF TO THE CONCRETE FLOOR. HE WAS HOSPITALIZED WITH H EAD INJURIES.
