EMPLOYEE DIED OF UNKNOWN CAUSE; POSSIBLE HEART ATTACK

Investigation abstract

ON APRIL 5, 1988, AT APPROXIMATELY 5:45 AM, EMPLOYEE 1 WAS DISCOVERED LYING ON T HE FLOOR OF THE PRODUCTION AREA. HE HAD BEEN PREPARING PISTON RINGS FOR A CHROME -PLATING PROCESS. THE PRELIMINARY AUTOPSY REPORT INDICATED THAT THE CAUSE OF DEA TH WAS A CONSTRICTED HEART VESSEL WHICH HAD DEPRIVED PART OF THE HEART OF ITS BL OOD FLOW. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE INDICATING THAT THE FATALITY WAS WORK RELATED.
