Employee injured in fall
Investigation abstract
At approximately 9:45 a.m. on January 24, 1989, Employee #1 was working on the f d 911. He was transported by ambulance to UM Hospital, where he was treated for a fractured right arm and a lacerated left leg. When the employee was later inte rviewed, he could not remember from where he had fallen or what he was doing pri or to falling. There were no witnesses. ifth floor of a building, installing plastic sheets on the interior walls. He wa s observed by a coworker coming out of the rear of the building and walking to t he mobile lunch wagon, where he purchased a sandwich and drink. As he walked pas t coworkers to re-enter the building, they mentioned to each other that Employee #1 looked as if he were walking on needles. Approximately two minutes later, th ey were told that he had been found lying on the ground. When a coworker asked h im what had happened, he stated that he had fallen.
