Event description
Employee dies after fall from roof joists
Investigation abstract
At approximately 12:50 p.m., Employee #1 was laying roof sheeting down and weldi ng it to a joist when a gust of wind caught some of the sheeting and blew it tow ard him. He jumped out of the way and fell between the joists, falling approxima tely 27 ft to the concrete. Employee #1 was transported by ambulance to the hosp ital where his condition deteriorated until he was pronounced dead at 5:23 p.m.
