2 EMPLOYEES INJURED IN FALL, RAILING GAVE WAY

Investigation abstract

AT ABOUT 10 AM ON FEBRUARY 29, 1988, EMPLOYEES #1 AND #2 WERE LEANING OR SITTING AGAINST A REMOVABLE METAL HAND RAILING. THE RAILING SURROUNDED THE PIPE GALLERY AT THE NORTH COAGULATION BASIN. THE RAILING CAME LOOSE, ALLOWING THE TWO EMPLOY EES TO FALL ABOUT 12 FEET TO A COCRETE PAD. BOTH EMPLOYEES RECEIVED HEAD INJURIE S AND WERE ADMITTED TO A HOSPITAL.
