Employee was part of a two-man team moving furniture from a customer's location. Employees were moving a large sleep sofa to the ground level when the sofa came into contact with a metal stair rail. The injured employee's finger was between the two objects at one point, and when they came together, they severed the employee's finger below the first joint.
