An employee was operating a lathe in the packing maintenance shop. The employee was using emery cloth to buff a shaft when the employee's gloved right hand was pulled into the lathe. The employee fractured the right wrist and three fingers, requiring an overnight inpatient hospitalization and surgery at UNMC hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.
