Final narrative
The injured employee was holding a 1/4" steel plate with another employee while a supervisor operated a crane to move the steel plate. The wind caused the plate to twist, and the injured employee's left hand got crushed between the steel plate and a truck. The injury resulted in an amputation at the hospital.
