An employee was feeding two strips of narrow pieces of steel into a reel. There were some cracked edges on the strip of metal. His hand was pulled toward the spacer causing his finger to get caught in/between the spacer (metal disc) and the steel strip that cuts the steel in the over arm (part of the reel/guide to keep cut straight). This occurred at the 72 slitter on the exit reel.
