Final narrative
An employee was installing drywall to the exterior of a building while working from a boom lift that was approximately 40 feet from the ground. A coworker got on the service elevator and went up. The elevator made contact with the bottom of the boom cage, causing the employee's face to hit the rails of the cage. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured jaw.
