An employee was loading three 10-foot pipe pieces weighing 600 pounds onto a conveyor roller while operating a forklift. One of the pipes was not aligned properly with the roller conveyors. The employee got off the forklift and attempted to properly align the pipe. The pipe fell off the roller conveyor and onto the employee, who suffered a compound fracture to the lower left leg and required surgery.
