An employee was using a flight simulator and was attempting to slide the right seat (passenger). The vertical seat adjustment lever was activated instead of the horizontal adjustment, and the seat went down while his right hand was searching underneath for the horizontal seat adjustment mechanism, amputating a fingertip.
