While hooking up cargo (wood pulp) in a vessel, an employee walked into one of the landing gear legs of the spreader bar, knocking his hard hat off and causing his head to go backwards. His neck and right arm became numb and he could not move his right-hand fingers.

An employee was assisting with loading product (sacks of dirt) onto a barge. The sack of dirt swung and pinched the employee between it and other sets of product on the barge. The employee suffered a neck compression injury and was knocked unconscious.
