An employee was using a bulldozer when it became stuck. He attached the lifting slings to the brackets and was lifting the bulldozer and placing it on top of cargo. After hooking up the shackles/sling to the bulldozer, he held onto the cable with his left hand and flagged the crane operator to lift with his right hand. When the slack was taken up, the employee's left pinky was pinched between the cable and the cab of the bulldozer, partially amputating his pinky fingertip.
