An employee was hooking up a strap to connect a small excavator to a concrete saw. While a coworker was picking up the saw with the excavator, he attempted to readjust the straps at the moment the two pieces of equipment came together. His left ring finger was caught and amputated from the nail between the excavator bucket and the concrete saw.
