Final narrative
An employee was operating a skid steer to remove snow during a snowstorm when he felt something in the blades of the skid steer. He shut down the PTO switch, got out, and attempted to retrieve the object. During this process, his coat pulled the PTO switch back to the on position, and the equipment caught his glove and then hand, amputating his left index fingertip below the first joint.
