An employee was running a 30-minute boiler test on a diesel fueled boiler and caught the fingers on their right hand in the spinning belt and pulley. The boiler's diesel pump had been turned off but the belt and pulleys were still spinning. The employee's right middle finger was amputated below the first joint. The guard was not in place at the time.
