An employee was manually pulling a baggage cart, using the hole in the cart tongue to guide it to a baggage tug hitch, while a coworker was pushing the baggage cart from behind. As the baggage cart tongue came into contact with the tug hitch, the employee's left hand was caught between the tongue and hitch, amputating the pinky finger at the root of the nail and lacerating the ring finger.
