Final narrative
An employee was adjusting a tilted piece of pipe that was being held by a gripper on a band saw. As he was adjusting the pipe, the gripper caught his right pinky fingertip between it and the pipe, causing a partial amputation. The employee's pinky fingertip was later surgically amputated at the nailbed.
