At the job site the injured employee used a vacuum to extract water from one pit, backfilled three small pits, helped coworkers fill two other pits, and then performed sweeping on the road and sidewalk before leaving. Afterwards, the employee began experiencing symptoms of heat-related illness, including vomiting. The employee was hospitalized for heat-related illness.
