The injured employee was passing lead bricks so they could be cut to size while another employee was picking up the bricks from a pallet. Two of the bricks were stuck together by grease. The other employee forcefully dropped the lead bricks on the pallet to free them. The injured employee reached out at the same time and the bricks struck his left pinky finger, resulting in a fingertip amputation.
