An employee was operating the retread builder, applying tread rubber to a casing. The tread rubber was a little short. He put his foot on the builder for additional leverage and grabbed the tread rubber with both hands to "stretch" the tread as the machine advanced. His foot was caught by the hub and pulled into the machine resulting in a compound fracture to his left ankle.
