An employee was supervising as contractors erected a work-over rig on a drill site. As the floor of the work-over rig was being hoisted, a cable snapped, causing the floor to fall. When the floor struck the ground, it ejected the centerpiece of the floor, which struck the employee. The employee lost consciousness and was hospitalized.
