A maintenance employee was removing a conveyor belt. The employee performed lockout/tagout and removed the guard from the V belts and pulley on the side of the head pulley. The employee then began to manually move the V belts over the pulley. His left pinky and ring finger were caught between the V belt and pulley resulting in amputation of the top 1/4 of the employee's left pinky finger.
