An employee was walking down a catwalk. At the same time, an automated system was cleaning and removing aggregate from the drag conveyor of asphalt equipment by spraying diesel fuel onto the conveyor. As the cleaning was taking place, the vapors from the diesel fuel ignited, creating a flash fire. The employee was burned on his face, neck, and arms, requiring hospitalization.
