At 5:15 AM, the crew had started drilling horizontal holes in an island slab. At 5:45 AM, an employee noticed a hole had been drilled 1/2 inch off from the correct location. To correct the issue, an employee grabbed a drill, thinking that it had stopped running, but the drill was still on. The employee's glove was caught in the drill bit resulting in an amputation of the top of the employee's middle finger.
