An employee was operating a walk-behind gasoline-powered tamper, trying to repair a low section of asphalt. While the employee was tampering the temporary asphalt, the fuel line connection broke from the fuel tank at the rubber grommet, discharging gasoline on his pants, which then ignited. He suffered second degree burns to both legs.
