An employee was unloading palletized scrap metal from the bed of a bobtail truck using a pallet jack. The pallet of scrap metal started to fall over the edge at the end of the truck causing the pallet jack to raise up and crush the employee's right index finger between it and the scrap metal. The fingertip was amputated.
