An employee was leaving the facility for the day. As the employee was about to exit the building, he stopped at a table that stores hand sanitizer and face masks. At the same time, the work platform adjacent to the table was struck by a transfer car that was being repositioned. When the transfer car struck the tower, it dislodged a service part (2" steel blind flange) from one of the platform levels, which then fell and struck the employee on the head. The employee sustained a laceration, contusion, and fracture to the head.
